Final exam dates


Hi, everyone.
The dates of our final exam are Monday 23 May, part 1, (listening, reading and use of English), and Wednesday 25 May, part 2, (writing task and orals.)
The exam is obligatory, and to pass the course you must pass the final exam, which is worth 40%.

We started the class doing exercise 2c page 92 with our partner

We did the exercise 4 page 93 to repass reported speech and verb patterns. Also, we did two exercises from DVD.

Class update 14/03/2014

Hi everyone!
Here's what we did today in class. Have a nice week!
*REMEMBER to bring the a resume of what is going to talk about each member of the group, including the keywords.





SPEAKING

We started the class talking with our partner about listening to people. We asked to the other person if we listen to each other and gave examples of our favourite cases.

Also we talked about our homework that consisted on practising Future perfect and Future continuous.

Later we continued with a small performance: one was the manager of a famous singer and the other was a phtotgrapher. We tried to arrange a suitable timetable for a photoshoot, using Future perfect and Future continuous.



GRAMMAR

We did an exercise to repass the Future perfect and Future continuous on the book’s DVD.

Reported speech. There’s an example:
‘I’ll kill you!’ --> She said/shouted/threatened (that) she would kill me.


VOCABULARY

Exercise 1 and 2, page 90. Business collocations. Remember: you have the definitions on page 152.


LISTENING

Exercise 3, page 90. It was a listening related to the vocabulary.

Class update 07/03/16

Hello, everyone. This is what we have done in today's class.

OTHERS
At first, Tom returns the exams to the class.
Then he commanded us create a file with our own writing with the mistakes from the last exam and write it again with the corrections in a new context. We have to send it to Tom by email.

Exercise 1 page 86. Speaking activity about inviting friends for a meal. (Tom gave us a great recipe to make a delicious pizza dough).

We had to listen a conversation between two friends, answer some questions and correct some sentences.

Class update 29/02/16

Hello everyone!

Warming: we completed the sentences from the yellow square from page 76 and we talk about it in pairs.

We review the vocabulary about movies from unit 9 and made a game about compound nouns and adjectives, from unit 10. We also review the vocabulary about “making suggestions”.

We review some sentences from the passive form.

If each of you wants more exercises to prepare yourself for the progress test, you can do the exercises from page 123-124 from our book. Tom has already posted the answers on the blog.
